What was the initial inspiration for Kasey’s Guitar Jams?

After trying several children’s method books without much success I decided to create this book for my students.  I believe that learning to play music is similar to learning to speak, imitation should precede basic reading and writing skills.  I developed this book as an answer for children 3 and up who truly want to play guitar but may not be ready to read standard music notation.

What is your favorite aspect of the app?

My favorite aspect of the app are the illustrations with lyrics.  They make the book fun and the songs more interesting to learn.  From what I see on itunes, this is the only book published as an app for kid’s guitar.

Is there anything else you would like to say to our readers?

This book can be a great opportunity for a parent to experience music with their child.  I wrote these songs to meet the needs of young children who want to learn guitar and for parents who have the basic guitar skills to teach their child.   As long as the parent has some basic guitar skills, this book will help them to teach the child to play along with music.  This book can also be used by private music teachers as a fun and engaging method to teach kids to play along with music.   ~ Kelly
