Wish Stealer: A Dangerously Uncommon Tale is a very different book app. It is a wonderful, long, exciting tale. The app is guaranteed to keep kids reading along for extended periods of time. Algernon is a normal little boy who stole coins from a fountain in the park. Those stolen wishes take him on many adventures! Far too many exciting events to video all. You will have to get the app to enjoy all and it is well worth buying. Whether on a road trip or a rainy day, this is a great way to share quality time. It is filled with life lessons that are taught in an enticing way to kids. The perfect way to open a dialogue with kids on many topics throughout the book.
You can tap around on the pages to animate characters or tap the text to read something again. This app is presented to us by Finger Nail Moon Studios.
This app is a great addition to your kid’s toolbox for life!

What was the initial inspiration for your app?
My title already exists in book form, but I also thought it would be fun as an interactive app as well. There are things that the app can do that the book, of course, cannot. It has a read-to-me feature that can be selected if desired, as well as simple animations that bring the illustrations to life when a child taps the image. Also, there are a few “bonus” illustrations that do not appear in the original book version. I think it is a story to which every child can relate, and hopefully take away a few positive ideas as well. The app is perfect for kids who are able to read something more substantial, but still like a lot of illustrations, and can perhaps use a little “assistance” with some of the text.
What is your favorite aspect of the app.
My favorite aspects of the app are the animations. It’s fun to see what little surprise each illustration holds.
Is there anything else you want to say to our readers?
This app is a little different from some of the other children’s book apps currently available, in that it is less like a picture book, and more of a little novel for small folks. Additionally, it could busy little readers in waiting rooms, on airplanes, on car trips, etc. for substantially longer than a shorter storybook.
