Three Blind Mice on Vacation in Africa | Book Apps

0

Wooleycat is a musical poet who adds inventive twists to the classic Mother Goose rhymes.  Dennis Hysom’s lyrical voice is a perfect match for this upbeat musical book app. Christine Walker did the illustrations to perfection!  The tune is so catchy I was bopping in my chair every time I went over the app. 🙂

Some other advantages include an introduction to thoughts and conversations about blindness as well as supporting reading readiness within the format!

What was the initial inspiration for Three Blind Mice on Vacation in Africa?

The Three Blind Mice App from Wooleycat’s Musical Theater, published by PicPocket Books was originally part of a collection of musical nursery rhymes published in print form. The husband and wife team, Dennis Hysom and Christine Walker, of Wooleycat Musical Theater collaborated on the musical composition and artwork. Dennis often performs live for audiences of kids, and gets them singing and dancing along. We wanted to offer the Wooleycat Musical Theater songs to a wider audience via iTunes.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

I really like that  kids can hear the song and see the illustrations that go along with the song. I also really like that in this version, the mice get to keep their tails!

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Humpty Dumpty, also from Wooleycat’s Musical Theater, is another PicPocket Book app available on iTunes.
